I hate the Discrete Math course I took. It was like a religious philosophy class, I took it by faith, I don't understand jack about it ...

meaning we don't understand why/how it works, we just believe in that it's like that .....

I can't recall the book, Eppley something .. it's not the book, it's the professor (who was a grad student, first time teaching and really really bad at speaking/understanding English).
