Tennis, anyone?

Prefecturals are over. We placed third, which means we move on to Kantou. Quite an improvement over the team from last year. Better yet, I took all my games! Every single one! Bad news is Ayasegawa-senpai wants to put me into Singles 1. No way. Singles 1 hardly ever gets a chance to play.

So, do I be a team player and warm the bench for almost every ( Read more... )

onii-chan is a butter buddha, fandom, so glad you're back, singles 1 or 2, tennis anyone, undefeated, mixed doubles, demon boy

Hurrah, congratulations love! Next time you need to remind me when you have games so I can come watch.

You'll want to come to Kantou. Akaya will be playing, too. That's not until the third week of July. But you can come watch me at the JTA Tournament! I get to play people from all over and all ages. It's really cool.

Plus I'm trying to convince either Akira or Akaya to play mixed doubles with me at the JTA. I'm not sure who'll yell most. ^_~

Ooh, definitely, then!

That ought to be interesting. Do either of them seem interested?

His team's really good, mine not so much (though better than last year).

I haven't talked to Akira about it yet. I mentioned it to Akaya last time I saw him online. He's worried about the JTA interfering with the school tournaments.

It's too bad we don't get to do mixed doubles through the schools.

Congrats, An.

Hey, if you do all the work, you should be allowed to participate in whatever tournament you want. I know you can do it, I expect your name in lights or the tennis equivalent of lights.

Almost got a trace on Zack.

Thanks! I've been working towards this for almost a year and a half. I was off my game for awhile because of...RL stuff...but now I'm back. I want to see how good I can be, you know?

Well, generally (but not always) the best player on the team is reserved for Singles 1. They don't always get to play because if the team wins 3 out of 5 matches, they win. I've watched my brother sit out many a tournament. So, you see, since it's about the team, I really shouldn't be so greedy.

Good! We need to get him back. I hate to think what that bastard's doing to him.

That's understandable, that real life gets in the way of everything.

Aww forget greed, there's nothing wrong with doing what you love :)

I'll get him back. I promised the Doctor I wouldn't kill him. But that's a one-time offer, because I'm in his debt. So if I were the Master, I'd find a nice hole and stay there, he'll be incredibly sorry if he gets on my bad side again.

Yeah, and someone needed me to be there for them a lot more than I needed to play a game.

^_^ Thanks, but I don't want to hurt the chances of the team going as far as it can. It wouldn't be fair to everyone else. Though, really.... Hmmmm. I'll think on it.

Good. I feel sorry for the Doctor. Jack said he'd be "alone" if the Master dies, but how many people does he have to hurt before he's stopped? How are Aerith and Meggie holding up?

Hi, Tachibana-san. You live in Japan?

Please, An or An-chan is fine. My brother has a journal, too. It gets confusing with two of us running around. ^_^

That's right. I live in Tokyo, though I grew up in Kyuushu. You?

I'm Bianchi.

I live in Japan with my Beloved.

That's a pretty name, Bianchi-san. It sounds Italian?

Really? Where? Tokyo has a lot to offer, but it's too urbanized for my tastes.

Thanks! Our team was sooooooo bad last year. I spent half of my time weeding out the girls who signed up just because our practice coincided with the boys' soccer practice. Sheesh.

But I learned a lot with the others, teaching and bringing them along. We got a few new--older--players when the high school opened. It's been fun.

Well, it's great that you improved! Hmm, I suppose that the girls were distracted?

That's good to hear. It's important to be able to get along.

It would have been pretty sad if they hadn't gotten just a teensy bit better. ^_^

Oh, yeah. Soccer and baseball are huge Fudomine sports--especially soccer. So all the popular guys are on the team (that is, the team made them popular). Stupid girls. I had the worst offenders do suicides in front of the guys. It's hard to look alluring when you're sucking air and puking.

It was a great experience. The middle school teams doing real well. I can look at that and know I had a lot to do with it.

ANANANANAN I HAVE INTERNET AGAAAAAIN. :D

Also. ...You're sure it won't interfere with school tournaments? 'Cause I'm up for it.

YAAAAAAAAAY! It's about time! ^_^

It won't! You pick and choose what you want to enter, just like you will when you're pro. I wouldn't do anything that would mess with my team either. You should know that.
