So I just told you this but THAT WAS SO RIDICULOUSLY CUTE. I absolutely loved every second of it. Except the part where Merlin got sacked because that made me horribly sad, as you know. But then it got better! And even cuter than it was when you were calling Arthur soft and saying Merlin fed him! Which was already too cute for words! This fic makes me warm with the happy. <3

I really liked this competent, cheerful Merlin. He'd happily taken Arthur in hand, meeting his boss' every need. He'd worked his way into the fabric of Arthur's life without Arthur truly realizing it. When Arthur fired him over that seemingly stupid tuxedo debacle, I was shocked. I like that Arthur got what he wanted in Cedric and then didn't want him at all.

I also like that Merlin didn't hold a grudge and instead took the opportunity to ask his Not!Boss out. That last scene, with the two happily in bed and Merlin promising to resume his alarm clock/cappuccino/breakfast duties with added bonus sex, put a big grin on my face. Arthur may need a new PA, but he's now got Merlin to meet his more personal needs. It's lovely.

absolutely lovely, and completely appealing to the romantic in me, although I thought Arthur was a bit harsh sacking Merlin like that (even though you'd been clear that he was a prat :-) I especially loved Merlin's matter of factness in dealing with Arthur and their meeting in Paris was sooo romantic!!
