Apparently, my step-father has moved back to town after leaving my mother last autumn. And we're having coffee this afternoon. Oh joy.

I think I would have been mean if I'd been drinking... as it was, I told him I didn't think his return to town would help mom feel better, even though he's glad that she's finally pulling through (yep, you leaving her seems to have affected her rather a lot... duh!) And then I told him that I didn't want to talk to him about it and I left.

If I'd been drinking, I don't think I'd have said all of that quite as calmly as I did.

Ugh.

A drink now would be nice I think.
