I thought, although a bit... well, farfetched to say the least, the way Cuddy got the baby was wonderful. We all knew they were doing this crap, so do it in a overly dramatic way... why not?! But the scene with the homeless person made up for all the weird stuff with the teenager. She said to the women: "You made her all better and now you have to let her go!" Gah! You know, like she had to in "Joy". I loved that part. It really got to me. And hopefully it´ll also put a bit of a rest to the Huddy fest of lately.
Honestly, the only part I can agree with you is on the hope that it will put Huddy to rest. ^^ They've been shoving that down our throats way too much.
I don't get why they had to do the dramatics. IMO, there was way more than enough dramatics in "Joy", and if the only reason why she couldn't get the baby there was because she and House would have a reason to kiss, then I've been giving the writers way too much credit - there were about a million other situations that wouldn't have come off as abusive, stupid and totally un-sweet. The two have had chemistry before, why force them this way?
Ah well. Now we have to wait till January to see what happens.
