Well as usual you did the challenge more than justice. I don't think anybody could have done a better job! It's made me want to follow their friendship (although I know that won't be but hey :D ). It makes me want to write short stories again but I feel a bit inadequate tbh. The standards are so high!

Thank you :) I liked the challenge when I first heard about it - what little I've written in the last year for HP (save for After Rain, which wasn't really written in the last year, just revisited) has been the odder oneshots, with unexplored territory. The Harry/Draco relationship seems to have already been explored in every way, shape and form by about a gazillion authors...

But you should write if you feel like it. The standards aren't really that high - just go look at ff.net (*headdesk*) ;)

Wow, this is brilliant. You've touched on something very important. We all know logically that Tom manipulated Ginny, used her for his own means...but to her emotionally, he was a friend, someone who listened when no one else would. And reconciling those two, logic and emotion, must have been very difficult for Ginny. Good work on having her talk through her feelings with Luna. I also like seeing the start of their friendship.

Thank you very much. Yes, I'd imagine she'd have a very hard time with it, trying to reconcile the image of her friend, Tom, with the horror that is Voldemort. I'm glad it came across well in the fanfic :)

Here from genfic_hogwarts, and I really liked this. Of course Luna would be the only one to ask her that question, to understand that part of what had happened to her. It makes a great deal of sense, and I love the connection between her and Ginny. :)

Wonderfully written -- great challenge and well-executed. It's sometimes hard to remember that the Ginny who is so brave in HBP and DH is the same girl who poured herself out to Tom Riddle as a girl. Thanks for the reminder...and for the Luna-love. : )
