I happened to look over at my mum and her sisters as they burst out laughing at something they all clearly found hilarious, and was amazed all over again at how alike the way they laugh is-- the way they give themselves into it; how it sounds like they've stumbled across the world's best joke or a delicious secret (which is no longer a secret!); ( Read more... )

It's a cold and it's a broken Hallelujah

Overheard as we jostled our way through the orchard road crowd on christmas eve (the busker at the junction between Mandarin Gallery and 313!)

All too fleeting:

- the feeling of sun on my skin (but in cool weather!)
- a light breeze going through my hair/past my face
- the first sip of a cold iced white coffee. ahh milk and caffeine
