The Doctor frowned as the TARDIS completely ignored the coordinates he’d entered and landed in the center of London 2005.  Again.  He glared at the Time Rotor, more than annoyed at his ship’s mutiny.

“I didn’t want to come here!” the Doctor complained, his blue eyes fierce on his ship.

The TARDIS sent a zap to him, and he snatched his hand away.

I love you. Seriously. You have no idea how I've craved Nine/Martha fics. I'd love to read more with the two of them, as I'm starting to burn out on Ten.

But this fic? Fantastic!

Aw, thank you! I'll admit I was a bit nervous in writing it, because Nine isn't my first Doctor, and he has such a striking personality to me--you either get him or you don't. But if you're sold on it, that makes me relieved! And yeah, retcon!Ten is the only thing keeping me sane right now, although the cap of Martha wearing the Doctor's coat does have a whole host of possibilities I think I may like, so we shall see with S4!

Nine has a very distinctive voice, that once you get the hang of him, he's very clear in your head. He's rather like Donna, in a way. While it's been a while since I wrote him, I've always found him easier to write than Ten.

I can believe that--especially if you had him first. Nine is less manic, so it might be easier to write him than Ten. But Nine has a very caustic personality and dry humor, and if you're not inclined to it, it could be difficult. I really do like Nine, though. I actually think Martha would've gotten on with him better than with Ten--fresh Time War fallout and all.

This is fantastic. I'm a little sad that he didn't ask Martha to travel with him at the end and spawn an entire little AU. So, if I ask really, really nicely, will there be more Nine/Martha fics in the future?
