Red States update

I redid Red States tonight. There's still a lot of work to do, but I decided to add all the new stuff to the old stuff and see how it sounded. It turns out that it sounds a lot better, though all that old stuff still needs a lot of work. Justin plays guitar on this version which is why it sounds mass radder than it did before.

The volume is totally cranked up too much! You can probably lower that a bit and it would help a lot with the clipping. In general, though, it sounds like you should invest in a new mic and pre-amp? Or re-record the vocals at Justin's house? It sounds like it can be totally good - you just need a decent recording of it.

Alright, I totally lowered the the levels. But yeah, the vocals are still going to sound like ass until I rerecord them at Justin's place.

riddle me this, batman. Was my son just singing the last verses of this song because we listened to it today? Or did he just see it as an excuse to say "shut up" with out me climbing his ass? ;)
