I’m watching a doc called The Fringe: Acting Up. It’s on Bravo and all about the Edmonton fringe festival. I had no idea ours was the second biggest in the world! I knew it was world-class, but not that huge. It’s a neat doc, featuring people I like: Darrin Hagen, Ron Pederson, Mark Meer, Donovan Workun (my improv teacher!), Trevor Schmidt, Belinda ( Read more... )

Was this on TV/DVD/?? I'd be interested in seeing it if you have a copy you can lend or something.

You didn't know the Edmonton fringe was that big? Hell, that's a big part of why we moved here. I think the Adalaide Fringe is actually bigger on some measure or another (or it recently passed the Edmonton Fringe to become second biggest in the world overall), but still.

The weather's getting good so I'm starting to get excited about the Fringe. Hopefully I can finagle frequent fringer passes out of family again because otherwise I'll probably have to severely downsize.

It was on TV. I tried to tape it but something was wrong with my set-up and it didn't work. Apparently you can buy it and while it was quite interesting, it was not worth the $50 you'd have to pay.

I did know it was really big, just not that big. It doesn't feel that big, I guess, in comparison to our size. I'm excited about the Fringe, but I always manage to take in like barely any of it every damn year.

So, somehow I missed that the doc was narrated entirely by Nathan Fillion. I'm usually damn good at noticing that kind of thing and I can't believe it didn't click for me.

And, another dead dude. Editing post.
