Neil had LASEK which is worse because they use an alcohol solution to create the flap. Because of that he had contact lenses in for a week and he said he pretty much had the irritation and the pain the entire week and that it hurt so much when they took the contact lenses out that he nearly hit the person who was taking them out. He told me that before I'd had mine taken out which worried me but it didn't hurt at all, just like taking out a normal contact lens.

It's definitely worth it though. I'd say it was worth it from half 6 onwards I felt fine. It's easier to think about it in hindsight, but I'd say it's probably like childbirth (not that I'd know), in that everyone says that's it's a really painful experience but that the outcome makes it all worthwhile.

I can't wait until I can go swimming, that's going to be so weird!
