Some time ago a lady in Italy sued the hospital where she delivered her baby, because they had failed to tell her that the child would be born with a serious malformation so she couldn't decide for abortion

I spoke to people - quite aged - who were told by their mothers that they had been considered to be aborted. They felt miserable about it and bore this mark through all of their lives.
