Where is the ghost of Christmas present?

Dec 16, 2006 12:51

I can't feel the Christmas spirit. Seriously. Even with two Christmas trees up and what's left of the mom's belen collection around the house I can't help but feel indifferent. It's like I'm not even excited. Wuh, it's so freaky. Maybe it's because the dad forced Christmas cheer early on us, I normally don't kick into cheer mode until December 8 ( Read more... )

May bomb threat ba? Ang alam kong bomb threat nung Tuesday. Regardless, you should've still come. It was a very controversial UP Christmas.

I don't know, the CAL SC told our (LF) president that a bomb threat was one of the reasons. Weird.

I don't think I would've enjoyed it. My friends have just told me what happened to them and if I were there it would've happened to me too. Not witty.

UP is so weird these days. Buti na lang break na so the planet's can realign themselves hehehehe

i heard nga na there's a bomb threat. seems that even UP is paranoid these days. i thought we were immune. or at least, i thought the UP admin was immune to the paranoia.

i missed the faculty follies.. sadness

uhhh hindi ba ETA = Estimated Time of Arrival? :D

anyway that's what I find so frustrating about the tibaks... their only solution to the problem of shrinking funds is a pipe dream. If they really want to be in the service of the students they should be trying to address it through other means - particularly lobbying for increased fundraising efforts by the administration.

Hahaha...

And yes, tibaks want to get funds from only one place because they feel that there is only one rightful way to get money. Anything else is wrong, yeah right

I, for one, am for commercialization. If we could get people to sponsor the university...

but we'd run into the issue of companies combing through student ranks for prospects and shit.

whatever...

But aren't they already combing through the studentry for prospects? That is a major selling point for companies, sponsor us and we can give you smart, hardworking workers in the near future.

but it'd lessen the students's initiative to set up their own businesses which would lead to more jobs. We're reduced to being underlings, working our way up the ladder instead of starting out on top by setting up your own business.

That's true. Although not all will want to work for them, but it's the idea that they can have the opportunity to entice students.

Why be afraid of a bomb threat? These tibaks barely have enough money to eat three meals or brain cells to compose coherent rally cheers, I doubt they'd have enough to make a bomb. :))

But yeah, you should have come by. Nothing beats a Christmas celebration where your life could have been in potential danger. :P

Yeah I can imagine, my Christmas gift to my doctor would be the huge bills I'd pay if I got hurt, hehehehe
