Yay! I should brush up on my skating knowledge. Any links you can recommend?
BTW I re-watched Ice Castles a few years ago and apparently back then a triple was like a big thing. Weird! Because when I discovered skating on ESPN I was watching Surya Bonali attempt a quad.

Wikipedia actually has a pretty good summary of terms and biographies of skaters. For news on US skaters and the latest on competitions go to Icenetwork, forums like Figure Skating Universe and Goldenskate are kind of overwhelming but really good resources for skating background, I learned a lot from reading those forums.
Also isu.org, the official skating union.
Hee Ice Castles. Triples really used to be the thing, now it's the quad. Who knows, maybe soon it'll be quintuples or something hahaha. There's a Japanese skater, Miki Ando, who constantly practices quad salchows.
I really can't wait for a complete Filipino skater who has amazing spins, spirals, footwork and jumps. *crosses fingers*
