My thesis adviser told me today that I write in plain language. That I should use the language of Belsey, Delphy (who's no longer my primary framework, ha!) and Henessy. Because writing in plain language makes it seem that my thesis can be written by any person who stays at the tambayans

I was just telling Ursula a few days ago that the comment I got for my thesis was that it "could have been a better read." I thought people expected a thesis to be boring, and wrote it that way. Now I wish I had put more of myself into it because I think it would have served the purpose better.

So yeah... throw in some polysyllabic words if you must, but I hope it stays true to your voice and whatnot. :)

I know that people expect my thesis to be a culmination of my whole 4 years in college so it has to represent me. It's just really weird being told that no one else should be able to read my thesis but my profs
