Heroes officially renewed for a 2nd season!

OK, I probably missed this news earlier - but it makes my heart go Peter patter (bad pun?) to find that Heroes has officially been renewed for a 2nd season! This - for you folks unfamiliar with the US network schedule - means that we will not only see 12 new eps when S1 continues on Jan 22, but now have confirmation for at least 22-23 more until

I didn't know Heroes had renewed for a second season, and that's great for us, because i've been wondering what would happen once the explosion was over (i'm sure the explosion will happen) and i'd like to see more of the Heroes life...

Evidently you and never-evil are the two who jumped at the prototype comment. I've weeded out the geeks! My family and friends here are being super nice (all of a sudden!) b/c they know that while I'm testing, they can all play with the device(s) too. Also once I'm done (or the protos are in a later build), they can be handed out to whoever wants to use it -- till the final version is sold in the stores, of course. Hee.

I suspected we'd get a S2 but the early renewal is a nice added vote of confidence from NBC. Sounds like the big bang and fallout will have amazing consequences -- not to mention Peter losing his emo!hair!

Nah, nothing special happened over here. But just before your post I read Jules's (decadentdream) about her getting a new job and I wrote all caps in the comments there too ;)

Takei also acknowledged that Hiro loves Takei's most famous role, Mr. Sulu in the original Star Trek series. When informed that Oka had suggested the writers make a reference to Sulu being Hiro's true father figure, Takei was delighted at the prospect.

That would be really funny!

Chris Eccleston's character sounds interesting.

Like father, like son, like geek! They sound so perfect together. I recall an interview with Masi where he mentioned he'd just filmed 3 exciting eps with a new guest star, and immediately thought of Takei. Am looking forward to seeing both Eccleston and Takei with the Heroes cast. 3-4 more days!

Hah!! I had the same Eccleston interview linked, and M Ausiello is a source I used too ...but that was for the red carpet interviews for Milo and Hayden ....maybe we should link or credit each others LJs if either of us do similar posts again
