It's been a real trip seeing all these old fandom names pop up, and it's wonderful to see people (including me who abandoned the show a couple seasons back) coming back to it because the finale was so satisfying.

AGREE!! I'm so happy folks read this and wanted to talk about it -- I really just thought it'd be me in an echo chamber of one! I'm so happy the ending satisfied you, too <3!

omg you know, after I started getting into CQL, every time I watched a SPN episode with Jack in it I'd holler "THEY HAVE A SON!!!!" just like everyone does with wangxian all the time :D!

Hahaha! I’d say we have a type. I was remarking to friends how much the scene on the bridge mirrored the ending scene of CQL (I won’t post the gif so I don’t spoil anyone but you probably know what I mean). I loved it!

YOU'RE SO WELCOME!!! THANK YOU FOR REPLYING!!!!

And I agree, this is absolutely a wonderful ending for Dean. Him dying first is miserable but also would Sam really be able to have a full normal boring life with Dean alive?? I don't know that he could...I can't imagine a life for them that isn't the beginning of the episode just on repeat every day until eventually one of them dies. I don't know that that would be fair to Sam's family, either, if he tried to have that and Dean at the same time. I mean arguably the way it shook out with the nanny-babysitter-wife isn't really either lol but still, you know what I mean. Having the impetus to do it and do it right because he's doing it for the both of them is part of why it happened.

I'm honestly worried about if they ever do have a movie or a miniseries or a spinoff or whatever -- this ending is just so perfect and peaceful and it breaks my heart to think that might get ruined. But maybe??

I'm so happy we got to watch so much SPN together -- all along the way, but especially those last few seasons, doing them with you was the best. High highs and low lows! Samgirls for life.

Hi, I tried to find the Q&A session with Jared, but I can't find it anywhere. Do you know where I can watch this?

Aww thank you for coming by and giving it a read!! I have seen a few bits and bobs from Jared's panel and someone above recounted some details as well, and it sounds SPECTACULAR. I will totally have a look.

I am a huge Dean!girl but I feel that an inescapable part of that is to love Sam, because Dean loves Sam, and if you can't understand that then how can you truly understand or love Dean?THIS!!!! I have never understood this. Dean loves Sam more than anything else in the entire cosmos and always has and always will, and he has said this A LOT. Being Sam's big brother is like...the thing that means the most to him about himself? Ever??? It's truly baffling that people don't want this for him if it's what he wants ( ... )
