The Test Results Are In
Sep 09, 2010 11:15
I finally heard back from Dr. Ulmer in Indianapolis. The GAD antibodies test I took then has come back negative, which means that I have about an 85% chance of having type II diabetes instead of type I.

I'm not too sure of the difference,
but that sounds good news!
Is type 2 something you might shake off in time?

Type I: The pancreas does not make (or does not make enough) insulin.
Type II: The cells in the body have developed insulin resistance.
The difference is that with type II I could eventually stop having to inject myself and switch to an oral medication and proper diet and exercise.
