In France, the second sunday after Christmas, we celebrate Epiphany, which is supposed to be the visit from the Magi to Jesus.  But for all children and bon vivants, it's especially time to eat what we call "la galette des rois" (kings's cake). Awesome! We celebrate Epiphany to (from my Spanish side). Our little figures are not as cool as yours :)

Also, your Kings Cake sounds better than the ones I have eaten here in the USA (Although, I think most king's cake here are Mexican... so maybe they make it different than the European ones? I don't know)

What kind of Kings Cake have you eaten in USA ? It's not puff pastry with almond cream filling ? We have a different Kings Cake in the South of France, it's a brioche topped with crystallized fruits.

Ah, mais je l'ai toujours, bien sûr. Là j'ai juste mis une toute petite partie de ma collection pour faire la photo. Les autres sont dans des boîtes, en attendant le jour utopique où nous aurons un immeeeeense appartement avec une grande bibliothèque et des vitrines. ^_^
