Resilient city? Or just a plain uncaring, forgetful one?

I guess till its the other people we just do not give a big deal. We just get on with our work without even thinking of RESILIENCE or any such thing. We just keep living as if nothing happened.
Ignorance is bliss they say however we are the epitome of this.

When you get swindled more than once and do nothing about it, what happens - word spreads around town about your cowardice, that is what happens.

The "this will not divide us" talk is all fine and dandy, but what are we going to do as a nation to help prevent this next time around? Obviously, there is no cure when it comes to loss of life. And it is foolhardy to even think sprucing up the defense is gonna help. Which leaves us with - getting to the root of the problem. But this will never happen if the people start to forget such tragedies so easily and take them as a part of life. Phew.
