Warnings (if any): Dark!fic. I would warn for violence, allusions to abuse, and some pretty rough h/c, heavy on the hurt.
Reason for Reccing: rabidsamfan is the master of drabbles, and this series, while by no means sweet and fluffy, is one of my favorites. It's a different take on what might have happened during the Hiatus, and while it hurts (huuuuuuuurts), it hurts in very, very good ways. rabidsamfan fits so much punch into so few words, and the brevity is an art form in and of itself. You'll be left reeling, I promise, and I mean that in a good way.

Reason for Reccing: In my personal opinion, book!canon Holmes and Watson are the absolute most slashable versions of themselves and the hardest to write convincingly in erm, physical situations. Writing canon PWP well is nigh on impossible. Until now. Not only is this one of my favorite PWPs ever, rabidsamfan and janeturenne actually manage to keep this situation plausible, in character, and smoking hot all at the same time. I won't spoil it, but they have certainly gotten creative here. Very clever. And have I mentioned hot?

Reason for Reccing: This is just gorgeous. I love the song, I love the composition and the coloring of the images, and when they're mashed together, they're even prettier. And hey, Martin Freeman and Benedict Cumberbatch are nice to look at. The Softer World remixes are visually gorgeous and are almost mini-fics, or maybe mini-poems. Just...love the pretty.
