I'd never heard the term "chicken-head" before! Not with *any* meaning. Oh boy do I know those types though.

I'm sad to read you didn't run in the end :( But I know the feeling well, of just *knowing* you don't have a chance so why bother?

I think it's interesting that no matter how good/bad our own HS experience is, there is always that ONE regret...

Oh yeah, this took me right back to high school with all of its cliques and groups. It's unfortunate you decided to not run because of her. I'm sorry that you carry those regrets.
