Basketball
I'm glad Allen Iverson is back in town. There, I said it.
Hockey
I wish I liked hockey. It seems like a good game for fans. But I don't like hockey.
Football
Oh, Eagles. Why do you do this to me every year? It's cruel to play with my heart like this, bringing on Vick and making me mad, winning big games against the Giants and making me happy, resigning Andy for another 3 years and making me feel, honestly, a little bit uneasy. And then there's always December. And we're having An Eagles December, where you just keep winning and look juuuuuust good enough to spark that little fire in my heart that whispers "Lombardi." But the truth is, the defense is missing the "wrap" and "tackle" parts of "wrap and tackle" and they're making me crazy with the penalties. You think the Colts are going to give up that easily? But there it is again: that little bit of hope that the boys in midnight green can go all the way. Hope, thy name be Leonard Weaver. Or DeSean Jackson. Either, really. Both.
Baseball
NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO.
Look. I am aware that Halladay is fantastic. Really, I know. But I think I speak for this city when I say I LOVE CLIFF LEE. He's unbeLEEvable. It's the city of brotherLEE love. They are the PhilLEEs. The t-shirts write themselves! I am sad about this trade, and I think Cliff Lee leaves this town just as beloved as Pat Burrell did, and probably way moreso than poor Pedro Feliz (whose dismissal was registered the merest of sighs). Cliff Lee, you will be missed. Unless you start performing terribly, in which case we will all call Ruben Amaro Jr. the smartest man alive.
