Christmas Brookies Help!

I have a problem I want to make some Christmas brookies but for the life of me cant think of flavours that would go together in making it.
Anyone have any good ideas for these?

A couple drops of peppermint oil in the brownie part, and food-color the cookie dough shell red -- completely screw up the taste buds!

What about a blondie for the brownie base and a white chocolate and cranberry cookie? You could also do a brownie with andes mints in it and a regular cookie.

I'm curious about the term "Christmas brookies." I'm from the USA and I've never heard the term before. I googled it, but I don't think you mean brook trout. Would you mind explaining it in the interest of international cultural enrichment?
