The best is with salted butter (the most, the better, in my family we don't dust the top with sugar, with just add more butter ^^").
And you can use anything you want (I don't like prunes so yeah, no prunes for me) like apples, raisins (soaked in rum) or just plain. :D There are as much recipes as there are Bretons.
I wanted to try out raisins! But if I'm not mistaken prunes is the most classic version of it? So that's what I went with, soaked in rum. :) And I love how you add more salted butter on top...mmmm.
