Can anyone recommend me a really good/tried and tested black bean brownie recipe? The lower-calorie the better.

!recipe request, brownies, lowfat

I haven't tried this, but one of my favorite bloggers discusses how she developed her black bean avocado brownie recipe here.

Whole Foods posted one on Facebook a couple of years ago. I did make them and managed to fool a family of 8, including kids under the age of 12. I don't have it on my computer, but if you go into Whole Foods archives I bet you'll find it there.

Made this recipe once. It was decent, but no one is ever going to taste a bean brownie and say "Whoa! I couldn't tell it wasn't a real brownie!" You could add banana instead of the eggs, if you wanted. Applesauce for the oil. Agave or molasses for the sugar. Not sure what you'd have after all the substitutions. Might be easier just to go buy one brownie from a bakery and enjoy it. Unless you're avoiding the flour, and then I'd leave the recipe as is, as it will help the finished product.

I have not made them, but this recipe was the first I'd ever even heard of black bean brownies.

I've made this recipe. It came out great, but you definitely need a food processor for the beans and you can REALLY taste the coffee.
