I did end up making this. It turned out lovely, I was a bit surprised because the mixture was so thin...I was tempted to add more flour to try and thicken it up a bit, so I'm glad that I never.
The glaze was delicious, I served the glaze in a little white jug and we poured it over our slice of the cake.
Hmmm, I don't think I'd use Bailey's in this recipe (much as I adore Bailey's) because I don't know how it'd behave if boiled (would it curdle? Separate?), and I don't think you'd want to pair it with butter.
I googled it and found a recipe where you just combine 3/4 cup Baileys Irish Cream and 1 cup powdered sugar, without heating, to make a Bailey's glaze, which sounds like it'd work.
