uncle's day m&m cookies

best m&m cookies recipe? has anyone tried either of these on the m&m's site? how did they come out/ which should i try if i do?

also, any tips for sending cookies in the mail?

edit: haha, i made them already. i tried the "party cookies", but they didn't come out very good so i tried the recipe on the flour bag and threw in the m&m's instead. they ( Read more... )

I've not tried either recipe, but I have mailed baked goods a few times. Make sure the cookies are completely cooled and at room temp before putting them in an airtight container, cushioned with some paper towel (this also helps grab moisture so the cookies don't mold). Wrap the container up in some bubble paper so it fits snugly into the box you are sending them in. I always use UPS or FedEx, because they are guaranteed not to take 3 weeks for a package to get there (unlike the post office, which once took a MONTH for a package to get somewhere).

Those look delicious ♥ I send cookies in the mail often, and what I do is a bit different than most people. I wait for the cookies to cool and stash them in a ziplock bag with all of the air pushed out. Then I pop a bag of popcorn and pour that into a shoebox to cushion the cookies - this helps them stay fresh! Place the cookies on the popcorn, pour some popcorn on top, and seal the box well. Just remember to leave a note saying not to eat the popcorn! :p
