I like this, it's very them. I wasn't as fussed on the episode, the 'companion' - can't remember her name - struck me as mary sue which I found annoying.

Carmen I liked though. Very muchly.

Lady Christina de Souza.
I found her attitude... annoying, even though it was the sort I'd like to see more of in a Companion - no-nonsense, straightforward... actually, if you were to transpose her with current!Sarah Jane, it's about the right level, but Miss Smith is both far more believable about things, and also more... is human the right word? -shrug-
Her worst line by far however was that 'The aristocracy survives for a reason.' I mean, really, what was that about? Is she a Gloater or something?

(Also: Mightily annoyed the Doctor let her go, amazed that she was able to open the back door of the police car from the inside - as far as I know, you usually CAN'T - but rather more pissed with the Inspector; even if they catch her again, they might not get her to court, or worse have the case tossed while in court proceedings, as he failed to deliver the full Caution. -sigh-)

I was pretty "meh" about this episode, but those characters were interesting--what were their lives like, with her having that gift and him just quietly accepting it? I like this little glimpse of them you've provided.

Very nice insight in Carmen & Lou. I really liked them.

Thank you. I just feel that Planet of the Dead, while actually containig several decent elements, just wasn't mixed together terribly well. But I rather adored Carmen, and the way Lou just accepted everything about her. I just hope I've done them justice.
