[five days later and Kaito's arm is still in a sling (though the nurses have finally told him he can remove it within the next day).

Magic is used as both offensive or defensive abilities. Also, there is two kinds of magic in my world. They're known as white and dark magic. Only a certain few can use summoning abilities, but it's very rare and uncommon, though.

I know about a few worlds where magic doesn't really exist, but most worlds have a certain type of magic. For example, your type of magic doesn't really exist in my world.

Hehehe, well... There's things like "magic" magicians too, you know? That cast spells and fight evil! Witches too, and mages! Not to mention... [... don't mind him, he's just recalling every Spellcaster type of Duel Monster ever - even a few Warriors!]

But it depends, you know? "Normally" it's just nothing past Duel Monsters, which is a card game. ... But then stuff happens and those turn out to be real, and I've already got spirits for a family-- And along with all the monsters and chaos too, so you can never really say for sure.

Well there's offensive and defensive magic. Defensive to protect from strikes and spells, and offensive like casting fire and stuff like that. There's even spells to summon things.
