[Another night post! But this time Kaito's inside, sitting on the windowsill of the inn room he shares with his traveling group. He has one knee pulled up to his chest with his foot resting on the windowsill, while the other is planted firmly on the ground, and he looks thoughtful as he taps a deck of cards against his knee. [ Tsuna's spaziness and derp go on hold for the moment, he knows what he would do if someone took away his most important thing(s). ]

.. I wouldn't let them get away with it.

I don't think many people would. [Kaito included]

That's probably right. But you know, fighting probably won't solve anything.

I wouldn't fight. Violence isn't my style.

Do you think there's some kind of line that shouldn't be crossed in vengence??

Yes.

[and there is absolutely no hesitation when he answers]

Why?

[She sounds genuinely curious. And a teeny bit creepy.]

Murder. [again, no hesitation. Creepiness is noted, though]

Yeah I would.

[He thinks about saying more, but Kaito's tone has made him realize that ridiculous schemes and everything else that he could come up with probably aren't the best thing right now. Maybe later]

A lot of people would. [including Kaito, of course]

Makes sense. I mean, it's natural isn't it? I know I've gotten back at people for so many things.

[PINGED BY REVENGE WHAT]

Heh! You bet I would! I'd repay it five, ten, fifty times over! That's just how it has to be, if it's that important.

You're talking about someone specific. [not a question, a statement]

Who?

You bet I would, somehow or other.

But he already did pay for it, so I guess I'm set. I'll always be grateful to the guy who skewered him, for that matter.

[... skewered sob] Guess I don't have to ask how far you'd go.

Me? I didn't kill him, even if I felt like at the time. He just got what had been coming to him for a long time.

[A smile. It's rather... unbearably pleasant in nature.]

That said, you don't have to kill someone to give them just desserts. Fates worse than death exist, after all. But it also doesn't help to jump into something that will get you in even deeper trouble, when all is said and done.

I draw the line at violence. I wouldn't kill someone, and I wouldn't hurt them physically.

[he'd have no problem tearing them down emotionally, though]
