So, I found a new writing tool. It's called Yarny. It's basically a VERY simplified version of MS Word in the browser. It's REALLY nifty. I'll definitely be using it, methinks.

Why do people assume special education = retarded....?

I was in special education with emotional support and help with math. I'm not retarded, just a little autistic (didn't know that until I was 21, so no help in school for that)

I think it has to do with the whole "majority = stereotype" thing . . . even if mentally handicapped people aren't really the majority.

yeah...The majority of people in special ed are ADD/ADHD, depression, or varying forms of developmental problems (like autism).

Sadly, while I was in school, Adpergers wasn't known down to that level yet, it was still only known to the people who specialize only in autism.

But people see things like south park with Timmy and Jimmy and assume all SpEd kids are like that. :c
