I'm so glad Oscar and Andy agreed to try things out. And I wonder what Jim thought of Oscar/Andy. (Oh, you have to do that fic, please.)

Sad!Andy made me really sad for some reason.

Great fic.

Hahaha- I was actually already planning on writing the Jim-Andy bit where Andy asks for advice on how to fix things with Oscar... kind of like a DVD extra deleted scene or something. Heh.

Sad!Andy makes me sad too! Seriously, I luff him.

Thanks for the comment!

awwwwwwww! I want to cry that was so sweet! Andy taking him on a date!
Asking Gil for tips?!

You know what the best part is? That's totally going to happen on the show! I'm so happy!

I love it

This is awesome and sooo believable. I could definitely see this playing out on the show, and your characterization is amazing. I love Andy's monologue, very romantic.

Great job. You say there's more? I can't wait. =)

Thank you! Mostly there's more because I just HAVE to see the awkward Jim-Andy asks for advice scene, and also, the look on Angela's FACE when she realizes Oscar and Andy are dating, and the reaction of everyone else... *sigh*

This thing keeps ballooning on me. Oh, well.

Glad you thought the characterization was good, and Andy's monologue as well! That bit is particularly dear to me, even though it's cheesy. :D

Thanks for the comment.

yaaay, I kept checking this journal to see if you'd posted it and here it is Oh man, I love this. I love the one that came before, and I am really excited to see what's upcoming. Jim and Andy have this...well, not a friendship in the traditional sense? But more traditional than Jim and Dwight. Reading your take on that sort-of friendship is going to be fun!

Andy's over-enthusiasm for just about anything plays really well against Oscar's impatience and...not irritability, but close to it. Andy's not likely to find anyone who can accept his level of intensity straight off the bat, so of course it's something they'd clash over.

I can see a lot of Jim-speech in Andy's monologue, which I just adore. It outlines so much of why I think Oscar and Andy could work, but in a way that isn't too self-aware (because, really? Andy isn't, even with someone helping him along). So, you manage to show both why they wouldn't work immediately, and why they could work in the long run, in the same fic. I really love that.

oh dear, I kind of ( ... )

Hahahah! Wow, I'm amazed it made that much of an impression on you! I really can't wait to write Jim's side of it, 'cause I'm pretty sure that Pam got some interrogation by Andy too, and we'll see how both of them deal with it.

I LOVE how Andy and Oscar interact, it's just so freakin' hilarious to me. Oscar is the perfect straight man (ha) for Andy to play off of. Honestly, they're perfect. But yeah, to get it to the point that Oscar would take Andy semi-seriously... that was a bit of work. JIM WAS SO NECESSARY IN THE PROCESS.

And damn you for that last crossed out comment, it got little plot bunnies hopping in my head, and now I'll have to include the Oscar-Jim moment you spoke of in the Jim-Andy interlude. Balls. XD

An author's perspective on a couple, especially one that has good prose and a brand new angle, almost always makes a strong impression on me. And Oscar POV, while just about standard for this couple, makes me happy.

Oh, Pam too? That should be interesting, yeah. But it makes a bit of sense, now that I think about it; Jim and Pam have meddled in unusual relationships before (oh, Dwangela, I miss the old days), so I can see them taking on a new challenge, so to speak.

The fact that Oscar is the straight man in their interaction amuses me more than it should. But I agree--a Jim speech was necessary. (...and now I'm starting to see Casino Party parallels that, while not unexpected, make this fic's line of thought much more obvious)

I think it's nearly IMPOSSIBLE to write anything from Andy's perspective... mostly because I feel like his brain must be similar to that of a hummingbird on crack, which doesn't really lend itself that well to narration. Hmph. Maybe I'll give it a shot sometime anyway.

Yes, Pam and Jim have become the couple that meddles in the affairs of all other couples, at least in my mind. Not that they ask for it. It might have something to do with me seeing them as a singular unit, and then additionally, Jim's whole giving Michael advice about Holly, and then Pam helping Michael out with Holly again on the lecture circuit... they just seem like the all wise and powerful couple... or something.

And zomg, I knew which fic you were going to link before I even clicked. Hahaha- is it sad that I've read like, every single Oscar/Andy fic on the internet?
