I know this is an unpopular opinion but I'm very glad about the fact that Jin is not playing Onizuka-sensei in the remake version of GTO. Since I think this whole project is doomed to fail anyway (because you can't make a fabulous original better) at least like this they can't make him the skapegoat in then end resulting in an even bigger

It is the best for Jin to stay out anything now! I don't want people to deeply accuse him again if the remake failed! /Well it's hard to obtain 28% of rating everyweek even it's Kimutaku! and from my past experience, remake drama always fail!

You're so right Ryo! And somehow thanks to the haters, i'm loving him more than i should now :)

Yeah the ratings for the original GTO was beyond awesome so it's almost impossible to beat that especially now when his popularity is not as high as it used to be.
Actually there are rumours that Jin really wants to play this role and he even suggested to let Meisa play a special guest role as well in order to boost the ratings but I still doubt it would be successful. ^^;

I would've hated him in that role too because he's not suited to that sort of character at all.

Me too. I absolutely can't see him as GTO at all and to be honest out of all the characters he played so far only Natsu from Bandage was a role that he played really convincing. I know it's mean to say this as a Jin fan but his acting skills aren't the best and to judge if he improved we still have to wait until November when 47 Ronin will be released.

But even he's gotten better at acting I still doubt the remake will be successful. :/

Then again, not that it's gonna happen anyways :D And I do have an issue about Jin being a bad actor (though he CAN kiss LOL Give him some credit for that XD), so~

AND then there's one girl who speculated how this GTO-role-cancellation might be an imaginary punishment for an imaginary GTO remake project for an imaginary cancelled Jin tour months back. Whoops, that's me on speculation overdrive XDDD

*lol* Who knows if he would do the platinum-blonde hair at all. Miroku's orginal hair was also different than what he had in the drama version.

And yes I totally agree with you on Jin's acting. ^^;

I would be just glad if they dropped this whole thing!
