Shifting Focus

I was talking with my friend Jen and I had an epiphany -- I'm really not doing everything I can to get published. Yes.

I had the same sort of epiphany around January. My exchange for now is "one novel written for each novel submitted" because I know I'll go nuts if I'm not writing new material, and I know not all of my old first drafts are going to be salvageable for revision/submission at this point.

Thanks!

It's probably going to end up being an exchange similar to yours; I can't go long times between doing actual writing. I'm not sure how I'm ultimitely going to end up balancing all the projects, time-wise -- whether it will end up being rotating projects as I finish them, or doing certain things on certain days of the week.

(I suck at revision, too -- that's why I've been avoiding it for so long -- enough to build up the backlog of first drafts I have.)

Good luck on your revisions, and your submissions!
