*Davey has been distracted, staring at the impressive interior of the car at random intervals. But this time he catches Emmeline's glance and sighs, knowing it's directed at his navy blue blazer covered in buttons, pis, and patches.*

*The hint of dissatisfaction doesn't leave her as they wind down the tree-lined road, which finally gives way to the grand berth of the Vance's estate and the circular parkling lane before the stone mansion. Although built during the middle of the Victorian era, this home managed to stray away from the embellishment and eclecticism that defined that period in architecture. Letting out a low whistle, he turns to Emmeline with a smirk, ready to make a light, cynical comment about indulgence, greed, power, wealth...but he notices her look of apprehension and puts a reassuring hand on her knee. Fingers gently brush against her jaw and turns her towards him.*
Relax.
*Davey kisses her, but in actuality feels a bit nervous himself.*
*Emmeline meets his gaze with little more than a blink before she looks away from him and exits the car. Her tried and true poker face was the expression she sports now as she waits for Davey. When he exits the car, she adjusts the sleeve of her royal blue dress before finally responding.*
