Playing with Photoshop

It's raining in Central Florida. Can't get motivated, so I'm playing with Photoshop. I don't really know how to do anything, but I'm having fun changing contrast and color values and learning what the filters do. I hope to move on to layers and so forth, but I'm trying not to get too involved. Isn't another "time sink" just what we all need ( Read more... )

Yep, can't complain about the rain. It was getting really brown here, which is the Florida version of winter :D

Hope all is well with you and you're still writing!

The first one I think has to much highlights makes her cheeks look thicker. the second one to much light it distorted the runners left arm and darkens his face to much. I looked at the smaller version of the picture and formed my opinion before I enlarged it and looked closer and still feel the same, but remember every pair of eyes will interbred a work of art different. Not criticizing just saying how it affects me. But keep up the good work and it can become addictive.
Now I want to be a little more bolt and ask and please don't be angry. Is there any chance of finishing Trigger and Highwayman, Please?
Thank you Conny, one more thing, I was an Inspector for precision instruments for 29 years its hard to break the habit, I know my husband hates to live under a microscope all the time.

I could never be angry with anyone for asking about a story. I admit, I've not been inspired at all to write RPS in a very long time. I've had another novel accepted and finishing it takes most of my time. As my goal is to be a successful author, that's where I'm investing my energy right now. I really hope I'll be able to take a couple of weeks sometime and finish Trigger, et al, but not in the foreseeable future, I'm afraid. Maybe when my royalties are high enough to let me quit my "day job". I try never to give up on anything though. Thanks for being so patient and for still being interested ( ... )

I love the more dramatic effect of the first picture.
The second one really makes you look at it because everything sort of blends. Nicely done for just goofing off! :)

Thanks, Tu. Having seen some of your work, your comments are much appreciated. I wish I had more knowledge of the medium, but I have to resist the desire to take up something new right now, you know? *sigh*

Hey, Old friend cynical21 February 15 2009, 04:30:21 UTC
Too long since we played catch up. RL has been a bitch, so I haven't been able to keep track of what's going on with you. Hope all is well, and you're writing away.

I sure miss those days when you would update so regularly, just like I miss your lovely stories.
