I do hope the sheriff's death is slow and painful!

I'm thoroughly enjoying this tale of yours. The very idea of a dashing Jack Twist riding like the wind on his black horse, flying back to rescure his lover Ennis from the clutches of Sheriff Aguirre and Kay makes me want to head for a cold shower. Gasp!!! What a vision! I hope Jack will be able to rescue Ennis and fulfill his plan for a life together in the New World. And if in the rescue, Jack should dispatch Aguirre and Kay, well LIR! Ennis and Jack are so very brave, willing to do whatever it takes to be together.

Jack had imagined his life with Ennis so many times that a painting of it hung always near the forefront of his mind.

I loved Jack's description of what a sweet life with Ennis would be like. I can only hope that somehow, this beautiful "painting" can become a reality.

So glad to see an update; hope there'll be another chapter soon!
