Infinite Crisis: A Tale of Two Luthors

Since I'm bored and still not able to do anything productive, I'm going to spam you all with comic scans to take on the herculean task of explaining Infinite Crisis, with a shameless focus on Lex. On two Lexes, actually, because there are two of them in IC ( Read more... )

he was rocketed into space by his parents to save him from their universe's destruction. We all know that leads to bad fashion sense.
*GEEKING OUT kind of giggles* One of the peculiar causalities in superhero universes. :D

Of course the puppy-dog eyes work on Alex.
Awww, they're so BFF!

he had performance problems... But when Alex undresses for him, he finds his strength and punches the wall. Yay!
Superboy/Alex = is now my comic OTP of mutually empowering insanity! *hearts superpsychos*

MORE SEXY VILLAIN LEADER (A)LEX PICS OMG THANK YOU SO MUCH!
*wipes drool from keyboard*

Yes, they both have kind of a God-complex.
Yeah, but they're adorable at it. :D ( ... )

I feel bad about caring more for Superboy/Alex than the more dramatic consequences of their slashy alliance, but I have a one-track mind when it comes to Clex, it seems. XD

Well, aside from Kon and Batman, they're the most sympathetic party in IC to me. (Not hard to achieve, really, the series wasn't very great.) Clex transcends universes and generations! And

As for the next Elseworlds... I can't decide how to end it. But most likely it won't be as depressing as IC. (But considering that I'll have to kill whole universes, I can't promise few deaths...)

*sniffs* So sad.

But at least we got the greatest explanation (right after "A wizard did it") for when something doesn't make sense.

"It's that way because Superboy Prime punched time."

"It's that way because Superboy Prime punched time."

lol The elegant simplicity of this explanation is why I vastly prefer Infinite Crisis to Crisis on Infinite Earths :D

Superboy Prime's time punching was not even limited to the DCU, it has even spread to the Marvel 616 U.

Q: "Why is Iron Man being such a huge dick?" A: "Superboy Prime punched time."

Q: "Why would Peter Parker unmask in public?" A: "Superboy Prime punched time."

Isn't the Marvel U just another Earth-whatever? I thought they had a crossover once which put it that way.

Superboy is a much better explanation than skrulls, in any case :D

I love how in the scan where Alex gets naked for Superboy, the caption says that Superboy "pounds" away...I got a littl giddy at that. BTW, can you tell me what issues (Title and Issue number) those scans are from so I can see if my comics shop has them and...

I made something for you and I wanted to email it to you...it's for the first Elseworld's story you wrote :D

You made something for me? Eeeee! My e-mail is bagheera_86@yahoo.de :D

The scans with Superboy pounding away and Alex getting naked are from "Infinite Crisis Secret Files" (there's only one issue). It's a special - I'm not sure, it might be hard to get.

The first scan (above the cut) and scans 8, 9 and 10 are from "Villains United" (Issue 1, 2 and 6, but all six issues are good.) The scan with Batman, Superman and Wonder Woman arguing is from "Infinite Crisis" (issue 1). Lex and Alex fighting is from "Infinite Crisis"(issue 3). Superboy, Alex and their tower are from "Infinite Crisis (issue 4) and Lex and Kon are from "Infinite Crisis" (issue 5). The last two scans are from issue 7.
