"What's Your Name?" "...It's Chloe."

I am currently watching Chloe, with Julianne Moore and Amanda Seyfried. I might have already posted how much I love this movie, but honestly I do and I am not sure why I do so much.

There's a book?! I tried to figure out if there was, but I couldn't so way to go Meg, you're smarter than me. Anyway, Cracks is such a good movie :) I keep meaning to buy it, but now I'm a poor grad-student so no buying stuff for me @_@ just reading books for school. (Also...I think someone is either blowing or vacuuming the collective balcony thing, wtf?) Still, Cracks was a gorgeous film, and the way she takes the cliche of the all knowing, guiding teacher who supposedly corrupts but really teaches, and turned it on its head by the end with Eva Green's character was interesting too. When I began the film I was thinking "yeah, yeah, I know this story" and by the end I was like "oh o_o no I don't."

Hah! The same kind of reaction happened to me! Towards the middle when she goes to town and then there is that gorgeous shot of the clouds pulling a shadow over the top of the hill, that's when I started to think "alright...this is getting interesting"
And then by the climax in the woods I was just sitting there much like you were I bet:
"o.o...whoa"
So yeah, I just looked at the wikipedia page for the movie and saw that it did in fact have a book it was based on and so I ordered it!
But because I have a book buying obsession and Amazon is magical and has this 25 dollar + free shipping thing if you sniff out the cheapest books that are eligible for free shipping - I spent most of my night scouring the net for the best possible books to buy
I haven't even read the ones I got from Amazon in the last shipment! But still, books are patient - they will wait for their turn to be read and I will keep growing my library ^-^

I liked Chloe, too. I've also seen Cracks, and quite liked it. Also, I love Eva Green. And Juno Temple - she always plays such intense characters. Had no idea there was a book. Have you seen Innocence? It's another movie that takes place in a sort of mysterious all-girls' school, very different from Cracks and surreal, but it's good.

That fairy tale collection looks interesting, I'll have to check it out! I'm always into dark, modern, bizarre fairy-tale-like stories. Have you ever read Ludmilla Petrushevskaya's There Once Lived a Woman Who Tried to Kill Her Neighbor's Baby: Scary Fairy Tales? I would recommend it.

Oddly enough I first saw Juno Temple when she played another school girl, but it was a very different movie: St.Trinian's
But even in that hilarious movie she attracted all the attention
She was great in Cracks, but the whole movie itself with all the characters and dynamics just made it work so seamlessly
I'll def. have to check out Innocence

When I was ordering books, the collection of fairy tales "There Once Was a Woman..." showed up - and after looking at reviews I was hesitant because it just seems so unnecessarily sad and choppy
But if you recommend it then ill have to look into it further ^-^
