There's a file of lists in the computer archives of Torchwood.

It's under the archivist's codes, where, in theory, only the head of the branch and the archivist can access. In practice, Ianto knows that Tosh could find it, but he doesn't think she would go looking.

All the lists are neatly labeled, neatly, chronologically ordered by discovery, belying the bitter taste in the back of Ianto’s mouth each time he makes an addition.

Times the Archivist is certain Jack Lied
Times Jack has said “I’m Sorry”
Times the Archivist thought he meant it
Times Captain Jack Harkness should have died
Things that Might be True about Jack Harkness

It the beginning, the list was simple. Lies Jack has told me. He’d started the list after Lisa, writing out each word neatly, companion to Lies I’ve told Jack. He’d left his list of lies on Jack’s desk after Brecon Beacons. Nothing quite like an apology- but an acknowledgement. He knows Jack's read the file in the archives. He adds to it sometimes in the middle of the night, only to always revert to the saved copy before dawn. They never speak of it. It’s there, a silent accusation and record.
