It was sad and touching that Dara was glad she had earned Rinabaar's trust. And I was moved when she was thinking that living a useful life was a start.
Poor Rinabaar...struggling to do the right thing when his bosses were dishonourable. I know people who have been in similar situations, so that struck a core with me.
Thank goodness that I'm an evil bastard, she thought. It makes things must easier.
*rolls around laughing*
I cheered inwardly when she asked Rinabaar out and he admitted that he was attracted to her. That was awkwardly sweet and funny. :)

I'm glad. :) Dara suffers from a lot of angst and self-doubt in this story. It seemed only fair to give her a small reminder that she has done some good things with her life. :)
Oh, my. :/ I managed to skip this chapter somehow, er?
But... yeah, in retrospect, I don't know where I got the backstory of Dara's date then. But, anyway, this is a nice lead in to that.
I liked the "I have this" realisation, that Dara is finally starting to regain some self-value, and her realisation that Rinabaar is on her side.
The whole : "Oh, just say it! Dara howled at herself." is something I empathise with. I often yell at myself in my own head to just DO IT, so it's hilarious to see another character do it. :)
I did wonder why this one went uncommented... ;) But these chapters came up pretty quickly and irregularly, so I don't wonder that one or two might have slipped through the cracks. :)
Hee! I do the "just do it, just do it, stop being a wuss and just do it! D<" thing in my head too. ^_^;
