if you want to get into salinger, I'd recommend you read his other books before you read catcher.... if you ever want to read catcher at all.
maybe it's just me, but I think holden is terribly overrated.
and misunderstood.
mostly very misunderstood.

thank you so much~
I tried very hard so this means a lot to me, thank you!

This is honestly awesome. I enjoyed this! An easy read which isn't completely direct in the sense that it doesn't end up in a conventional face-to-face kind of way, and just really nice. Awesome story!

And about your notes at the end, I'm kind of ashamed to say that besides Running Man, I know of nothing else. I mean, I know of Grey's Anatomy, and J.D Salinger, and The Catcher in The Rye, but not really. Which is weird, since I've been reading since I was basically out of my mom's womb. It's how I breathe.

Hopefully if I come across one of his books, I'd like to try reading one. Once again, wonderful story!

thank you sososo much, really!
comments like this one makes me want to write /more/ so this means a lot to me.
thank you very much.

oh please, don't be ashamed!
I'm not a super fan of salinger, but I've always been sort of... uhm... amused??? by his life story.
okay, maybe that makes me a fan *sighs*
I also find his prose really fascinating.
it's okay if you haven't read anything by him, but if you want to do so then I recommend the book I mention here, nine stories.
which is also known as: for esme, with love and squalor.
oh no, I got carried away and wrote an essay about salinger, I'm so sorry~

I do hope you come across salinger's books.
I think his writing style and structure are just unique.

hope you're having a wonderful day~
