The way you wrote this just pulled me in and slowly wrapped around me until parts of the story just popped out at me and gave me little heart skips I was so happy reading it. I can honestly say I enjoyed reading this entire story and there wasn’t a piece in this that I didn’t like. I specifically enjoyed how you didn’t overdo the relationship between Baekhyun and Junmyeon. I felt like it was so much more realistic and genuine between the two of them, and considering Baekhyun’s prior nature, it worked perfectly. It actually made me love Junmyeon more because he was just as game. Then his humor came out and it just fit somehow so well with Baekhyun’s own slightly nervous and charming jauntiness I just, ugh, you made me fall in love with one of my favorite pairings in a way I hadn’t loved them before

This was the first fic I read and boy was I glad. It's so well-written, like I felt myself in the world and watching it clearly as it happens. The characterizations of Baekhyun and Joonmyun seemed really spot on and I love how they were both unraveled as the fic went on. I'm so happy I read this first. :)

I really liked this! Tbh the way Junmyeon was written as stiff and formal then disintegrating into crooked smiles, unfunny jokes and still poised and responsible but more human is how my thoughts of him have progressed irl.
Also Heenim is perfect both in the fic and irl, can i just officially declare that.
Oddly, it kinda felt like Baek got off real easy considering he was technically impersonating a king but i suppose its still ok, if we assume that the officials and servants were charmed by him and believed in him and his hard work??
Anyway it rolled by so well! Mild Junmyeon while doing things that you'd think he'd blush at is so so charming. Plus thank you for Jongdae because Jongdae
