There's no point in feeling guilty about buying books from a store that's closing out, because their fate is already decided. At this point, all you can do is cut their losses by buying what's left

It's not really guilt but more like being ashamed because I'm taking advantage at the sale and buying books that I wouldn't buy in the first place. The series that I like, I usually pre-order since I'm too impatient. I haven't had good experience at local comic bookstores, unfortunately. They are somewhat intimidating - it was just me. I like going to Kinokuniya, not often as I'd like.
I don't have much to add to the Twins' comment. But I wanted to say that regular-bookstores could be another alternative to comic shops and Kinokuniya (if you do want to pay full price for something, or to support the local economy or whatever your reasoning might be. I like bookstores best for series I'm impatient to get, since TRSI is sometimes slow with shipping). I'm mildly curious what my local comic shop is like these days-I haven't been there since SailorMoon was coming out in floppies-but it does seem like a somewhat more intimidating experience than a bookstore. I'm trying to convince one of my brothers to go with me... :D
Skip 18 is oop?? Eek! I already have it though, whew. 6 is getting tricky to find too... I need to nab the copy my bookstore still has (yay, bookstore!!) Viz, keep your ongoing series in print! Sheesh.
I haven't read Yurara or Rasetsu. But now I know you and Connie from Slightly Biased Manga like it... Maaaaaybe I'll check it out sometime.
"I'm trying to convince one of my brothers to go with me " It's good that you have brothers to go with you :) re: Skip Beat! 18. That's sad. I've read somewhere that a 5-year-old manga is considered ancient! SB 18 was released May 5, 2009 - only 2 years ago. That's why I'm hoarding the series that I like! Unless you are completeness (?) and really want to know the back story, I'd borrow Yurara. Rasetsu is much better. I like Yurara but the yoyo back and forth is annoying to me. I really like the characters, though. Btw, I may go back to Borders to see what manga they have that I may want sometime this week, is there any NG life volume you want me to pick up or Rasetsu? Just let me know :) No obligations, of course.
I'll probably borrow both Yurara and Rasetsu, at least until I decide whether I like it enough to buy. Your offer to check out the Borders sale for me is tempting, though! If they have NG Life and you don't mind picking it up for me that would be lovely :D I have 1-3 and 9 already but haven't got to ordering more yet. And if they don't have it, no problem. Happy bargain-hunting!
