VBR artbook!!! Isn't it wonderful! I got the ending spoiled too; I was a little sad but all the pretty makes up for it (and there's still all the other unspoiled details in between!) I think Tokyopop has been asked before about artbooks, and generally they don't license them except for a series that would really sell well (like if Fruits Basket had an artbook...) Because the main focus is the art, which doesn't need much translation, and because it's hard to match the print quality of the original books, I think they don't really find it worthwhile in most cases. It would be fun to be able to read all Hidaka-sensei's little comments about each illustration in the back. Oh, and did you see the Sakashita-sibiling comics on the front and back covers (under the dust jacket)?

What a lot of reading you did! I missed your updates, since it had been a while. Welcome back :D

" It would be fun to be able to read all Hidaka-sensei's little comments about each illustration in the back."
that's why I'm hoping it would get translated.
Yes, I saw it, but I can't read japanese to save my life, so ...
Aren't the arts so pretty? If only I could find Tears of the lamb art book ...

"What a lot of reading you did!"
- heh! That was 2 weeks worth - inter-library loan is too dangerous. Stack of to-be-read pile is getting higher!

Oh yes, I'd love to get the IHY/Tears artbook. I've seen it on ebay but you might have to pay more...

Hee. At least with inter-library loan you don't have to pay for all the books you read!!

Some points:
- I'm dragging my feet starting these last 6 volumes!
- The war arc between Egypt and Hittite was shorter that I had expected.
- Nakia struck again more than once, if only she had used all her mental energy for a better cause! Nakia tried to harm Yuri or Kail, escaped, struck again - lather, rinse, repeat ;) It got a bit tedious!
- Urhi's past was revealed. He reminds me of Ageha in Basara, especially after he was blinded one eye!
- In vol 24 the fighting scene between Kail and Ramses at the end is a bit risque! ;)
- In vol 25, Kail gave Juda mouth to mouth medicine, heh! Between this and the above scene, my mind were in gutter!
- In the end, I was surprised that Juda thought his mother's death was the solution.
- Kail's decision to exile Nakia is good, but I was taken aback that he made Juda in charge of her. I felt that was a bit mean. But Juda welcomed it so ...
- I felt sad for Rusafa and princess Nefert, especially Nefert!- The last volume is mainly extra stories of Yuri's and Kail's descendants. Only 1 chapter ( ... )
