Long weekend. In sum:

some amazing horse racing, in both the Kentucky Oaks and the Kentucky Derby. Though whoever texted me right after the Derby to comment on the race, don't ever do that again, as you shouldn't talk about race results before you are sure the other party has seen the race! I did a samba DVD when I got home--no idea where that energy came from!

The AC was supposed to be fixed last week, though now of course it's cool again :-/

Pretty much every year, Amira Jamal's student recital falls on Derby Day so I end up watching it later. But your text didn't spoil the race--there were so many longshots any one of them could have been an upset, and since the coverage barely mentioned Mine That Bird apart from his trainer's broken ankle and long drive, it never clicked for me that his jockey was Cal Borail. So the outcome was still a surprise :-)
