This year, for the first time, my house is getting a CSA (community supported agriculture) share. We've got the "small" share, but it's still a lot of vegetables.

So far, it's been the time of year for leafy greens. Lunch today: mixed lettuce salad and sauteed spinach. I feel so leafy!

How much is a "small" share? We get half of a bushel a week from our CSA and it's quite a lot for two people.

We've been cooking a lot of kale chips and roasted beets though, so it's all kinds of awesome. =)

They give us two paper-grocery-bag-size things full of veggies, or at least they have the last couple weeks. So far we haven't gotten any kale or beets, it's been various lettuces, pea greens, spinach, and bok choi.

I guess the latitude up there makes the growing season lag about a month behind us.

Also, what do you do with pea greens? I've never had those before.

Well, I just munched some of them raw (tastes like peas, but less sweet), but I hear you can also sautee them up like spinach.
