Got up Sat morning, scurried to make some semblance of clean out of the bathroom, as my m-i-l and her best friend showed up at 9 for bagels and coffee before a pottery show. I had forgotten to get milk and cleaning the table, so we sorta made do. Lovely.
Got a couple of neat things at the pottery show and then went off to see a friend get married in Annapolis. Got back from that mid-afternoon, fell asleep during football and then baseball. However, I did wake up again to read Dune until 2:30am. Captain Legoland was still playing video games when I went to sleep.
Slept in until it was time to go babysit 3 little girls (ages 4, 2 and 8 months) at 11:30 while their parents went sailing. Captain Legoland is going to make a great dad if we ever get to that point, and for his first time babysitting, wasn't bad but naptime took about 4 extra visits to the bedroom. I wasn't much better. He took the talkers and I took the screamer and eventually there was peace for a little bit. Got home exhausted.
Not that I really expect to have anything in common with him, but I wish I could track down my best-friend-in-2nd-grade, who moved away after that year and I never heard from him again; unfortunately, "Nicholas Gardner" (Garner?) is way to common a name to have much of any hope of tracking him down.
That said, I have reconnected with plenty of people that I lost touch with after 8th grade -- I went to a sci/tech high school, and most of them did not -- and that's been reasonably entertaining. :)
