Ianto had to suffer so much. He faced it with courage. I'm sure jack saw that in him and honoured him for it. We all saw how strong he became. You really caught the sadness of what happened to Lisa.

Yes, Ianto has an inner strength that can be easily overlooked, but Jack would see it, once he really looked at Ianto. He just hasn't looked that closely - until now.
